Whenever I give a programming class on Java, Object Oriented Analysis/Design/Programming, I'm always asked what books I recommend. I figure this is either because I'm a really bad teacher, or the topic is so interesting and deep that people are interested in more details. I prefer to think the latter.
So without much ado, here is a list of books I've read and also recommend, with a wee bit of categorization:
Books on OO and Processes
Books on Java Programming
Other Books Related to the Programming Profession
I've included links to Amazon for two reasons: first, so you can find more information on a book if you're interested, and second, so if you buy a book at Amazon you can help support this web site. After all, we have to do something to keep the lights on around here. :)
