The "URLTree" applet

Description

The URLTree applet is being designed to let you browse a collection of URL's via a tree (or "explorer") interface.

Experimental Version 0.1(b)

Be warned - this version of the URLTree is very much in an experimental stage. This is the first cut at the tree, and it's a beta cut at that, with many bugs. We strongly advise you not to use this version of the tree on your own web site!

We are considering the following enhancements to this applet:

  • Reading the URLTree data from a web-based data source.
  • Adding a URL description at the bottom of the tree, or elsewhere.
  • Adding folder images to the tree.
  • Updating the Tree to use JDK 1.1 or even the JFC. Currently it uses JDK 1.0 and Symantec's TreeView component.

If you can think of other enhancements that should be made to this Tree, send us an e-mail.
